DEVIDED TO TRANSFORM EVERY SPACE INTO FURNITURE, PRECIOUS AND REFINED SURFACES

MarmUra is a revolutionary product that exactly reproduces the look and feel of spatulated marble. Its soft movements combined with the various shades result in strikingly beautiful and seamless surfaces. The surface treated with MarmUra will not be uniform in color and texture, it is an imperfect aesthetic result of pure artisan beauty. MarmUra is a ready-to-use single-component ceramic paste with microspheres of crystals with very low thickness, with great performance in terms of yield, mechanical resistance, flexibility and processing.

Innovation?

For us, innovation is not a simple word thrown there at random, it's not fashion or trend, for us, innovation is life, it's sacrifice, it's hard work, it's research, it's development!

The first is the original

Presented at the BIG 5 Dubai World Trade Center in 2021, MarmUra conquers the international stage by presenting itself as the first single-component water-based ceramic product for low thickness internal and external floors and walls.

High expectations

One of its many characteristics is the yield, just seven liters of product are enough to cover a continuous surface of 20 m² in two layers.

FAQ - People have also asked

  • What resistance and hardness does a MarmUra floor have?

Three of its properties are high strength, hardness and yield. MarmUra can also be used in environments with high pedestrian traffic both indoors and outdoors. Although it is a relatively hard material, its resistance to impact depends to some extent on the hardness of the support.

  • On which supports can MarmUra be applied?

One of the main properties of the MarmUra application cycle is its high adhesion. It allows it to be applied on difficult surfaces such as stoneware, marble, Venetian terrazzo, ceramic, seasoned screed, etc., facilitating renovations and avoiding the removal of the original covering, provided that the supports are stable and well anchored.

  • Is it possible to apply MarmUra on a radiant floor?

Yes, but before applying it we will have to follow the heating protocol to prevent the cracks caused by temperature changes in the screed from reproducing in the MarmUra too.

  • Is the complete MarmUra cycle waterproof?

ABSOLUTELY YES. To guarantee the waterproofness of the support, it is essential to choose the most suitable protective finish for the project you want to carry out, for example, to protect MarmUra inside swimming pools it is of absolute importance to use the transparent VetroLiquido PRP finish.

  • Can a MarmUra floor discolor over time?

NO! our pigments behave stably without undergoing alterations over time due to sunlight and climatic conditions, however, intense colors such as red and yellow may only have a slight discoloration if exposed to direct sunlight.

  • How should a MarmUra floor be cleaned?

The structure of the continuous surface itself facilitates cleaning operations as there are no gaps or joints into which dirt and bacteria can enter. The MarmUra floor is resistant to detergents and does not stain with oil, wine, coffee, sauce, etc., simply wash it with water and a neutral detergent to remove the dirt. Another easy property of MarmUra is its waterproofness which makes the floor not subject to mould.

  • Does a MarmUra floor require frequent maintenance?

A well-made MarmUra floor, on an adequate support and well protected with the right treatment can last for many years, requiring a simple maintenance procedure, consisting of a surface wash with simple water and a neutral detergent.

  • Can I renovate without cutting the existing windows?

In just 3 mm of thickness you can have a new floor without having to remove or modify the windows and doors in your home (unless the windows touch the floor).

  • Can I get a continuous surface without interruptions?

Our systems were created to meet the needs of those who don't like escapes. Applicable to both walls and floors, giving maximum continuity to your environment.

  • I have a restaurant, a bar, a hotel: is MarmUra suitable?

Yes, in these spaces MarmUra manages to create velvety and welcoming atmospheres, giving the rooms style, class and elegance.

  • I have a shop or showroom: is MarmUra suitable?

MarmUra is also perfect in commercial applications where it manages to best enhance the products on display, it is especially suitable for trendy spaces.

  • Are these surfaces resistant to trampling and impacts?

Tests demonstrate the high resistance of MarmUra to various stresses and the surface resistance is superior to that of wood, however, it is advisable to observe some precautions when maintaining the surface. See the FAQ: “how to maintain a perfect appearance over time”.

  • Can kitchen tops and bar counters be created?

Yes, it can be used on any type of surface as long as it is treated appropriately. However, it is not recommended to place hot objects on it, use the counter as a cutting board or leave aggressive substances such as lemon juice and wine vinegar on the surface.

  • Can I change the shade of the surface once it has been made?

Certainly. This procedure is particularly useful for the restoration and renewal of surfaces, such as in the case of changing the intended use of a commercial space.

  • How long does it take on average to create a surface in MarmUra?

Approximately, it takes about a week to create 100 m². But the working times strictly depend on the complexity and type of intervention. If you are working on an existing surface, it may take a few more days, necessary for the evaluation and preparation of the surface on which MarmUra will be applied.

  • What can I compare the resistance of MarmUra to?

MarmUra has higher characteristics than those of a wooden floor, it has excellent resistance and is suitable for use as a floor and wall covering, however it is not comparable to ceramic surfaces because they are very different materials and with very different production processes .

  • Do MarmUra surfaces get scratched?

All surfaces, even the most resistant, can get scratched. Let's think about steel (see car bodywork) which will easily scratch when subjected to stress with sharp objects. As with all surfaces, these scratches will be more evident on very shiny and very smooth surfaces, for this reason we recommend the matte finish. In any case, to restore a scratched MarmUra surface it is possible to carry out extraordinary maintenance, as in the case of wooden surfaces.

  • Can accidental falls of heavy objects damage the covering?

Yes, if heavy and sharp objects fall which can therefore mark the surface (conductive body).

  • How to maintain a perfect appearance over time?

    Some useful precautions are recommended:

  • I would like to cover a fireplace and a kitchen countertop: is MarmUra heat resistant?

The thermal resistance tests conducted on the material have yielded excellent results. MarmUra has been subjected to temperatures exceeding 100°C without showing any defects. However, it is still not recommended to place hot objects directly on the surface, and instead, the use of appropriate trivets is advised. Furthermore, in the case of kitchen countertops, it is recommended to use designated cutting boards, avoiding cutting or chopping directly on the surface.

  • Is marble a resin?

MarmUra is not a resin, but a ceramic marble paste covering, intended for decorative smoothing (3 mm thick) of internal and external surfaces. Considered among the coverings with the greatest architectural and aesthetic value. MarmUra has been specially formulated to cover, recover, recreate surfaces and obtain the sought-after effect of "continuous surface" flooring, perfect in its manually smoothed imperfection.
